I couldn’t believe you got so much done in one session! Obviously, some great teamwork went on.
I’m glad you didn’t make any daub to put on those wattle walls though!
I would build my roundhouse on a hill because it is easier to defend. What you need to survive as celt are animals because they will give food to the celts but not the sheep because some sheep you need the wool but you can kill some sheep. You will also need wood for tools and weapons like spears and sword and stuff like that. Good question.
You would need resources also equal land so a bit wet and a bit dry. Because if you built a village right next to a river, you would have a flood and if you built it in the woods, you could get attacked by wild animals.
I think the same as Evie to but to get those you would have to live next to a wood and a farmer and finally live by a river for the reeds and resources.
It would be fascinating, wouldn’t it?
Did you read what archaeologists found which proved there were Roman battles fought on the Wrekin? Have another look.

Good answer!
Does anyone know the name of those Iron age villages (on top of hills) that Daryl described?
They are called hill forts.
Well done.
Have a look at this link and read the first four paragraphs. Who would’ve thought that the Romans stormed the Wrekin?
If you were a Celtic Briton looking to settle somewhere, where would you build your roundhouse? What would you need to survive and thrive?
